Lucite bedroom suite designed for Helena Rubinstein by Landislas Medgyes in 1940(!) included an acrylic sleigh bed illuminated by fluorescent fixtures. Side chairs and tables, all with engraved rose monogram decoration, completed the set. Madame Rubinstein is said to have commissioned the ensemble after approving the Lucite packaging for her cosmetics. It sold at auction in 1966 and was later acquired by a private collector of Art Deco and American Empire antiques.
